Navy Scholarship

The Royal Navy of Great Britain exists since the 16th century and played an important role in the country’s history. Today the Naval Services has two branches: Royal Navy and Royal Marine. Those who choose to enroll the navy have an exciting life, with great adventures and great security but also with some kind of risk and a lot to learn. They can choose from different careers after training period: jobs on submarines, on aircraft or on ships.

The navy scholarship is for those who want to continue their studies and have financial needs for doing that. A college diploma can be important in ones future and that’s the reason why the navy encourages it by offering different scholarships. The navy also supports a healthy life by

The ones who have graduated a college have better chances in occupying a higher position than others who didn’t continue their studies. The navy ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) scholarship is granted to those who want to focus on strategic planning, leadership development, problem solving, and professional ethics and also participate to different trainings. There are three options for this program: navy, nursing or marine. The navy ROTC scholarships will help officers in all branches developing their knowledge.

The navy also offers some profession scholarships programs like the health professions scholarship program which encourages doctors or future doctors to enroll the navy. Let’s take for example the dentists. They can enroll during their study years or after and they will have a sign-on bonus, in addition to paying the full costs of tuition.

Residents students can enroll also and they may benefit of full residency payment. Students from medical school are welcomed because, as in any other field this too needs qualified doctors who will work in the navy only, not with civilians, and who can participate in different missions. A scholarship program offered by the navy may prove to be very helpful as the medical school is expensive. When finishing their studies the alumni will have a respectful working place.

Also professions scholarships include some other domains like Economics or Engineering. But to be elected for such a navy scholarship future students have to meet some conditions: general program entrance requirements (i.e. age, nationality, and high school diploma otherwise he or she can attend the courses), academic requirements (by case, some English and grammar studies, good results otherwise they can loose the financial aid and won’t be able to finish college etc.), physical requirements (by gender, height and weight), service requirements (after finishing their studies, students must serve some years, depending on their field it can be a minimum or four or five years). The navy scholarship will be given to the best candidates.

It is true that learning takes time and commitment. Without these two trumps a person will not be able to graduate college. Besides a navy scholarship to cover his expenses during the study years, which can be very high, the student is stimulated with a good workplace. He or she can get information about the navy prior to getting enrolled. All the departments are presented so the future apprentice will choose the domain according to his needs and based on information. New skills will be developed and new knowledge will be acquired.

By choosing a career in one of the navy’s department (on submarines, on aircraft or on ships) and giving his best, in combination with a higher education degree, a person has all the chances for a better future. Also he will work in different environments (in conflict, active duty in the country’s waters, policing the world’s oceans, humanitarian relief).
